Carers receive priority access to COVID-19 vaccinations and free annual flu vaccination.
Autumn COVID-19 booster vaccinations for carers in November
Are you looking after a friend or family member with a disability or illness and you have not had your autumn COVID-19 booster vaccination yet?
If you would like to have your vaccine but cannot leave the person you care for, or would struggle any other way in getting the vaccine then please call Caring for Carers on 01752 201890 and we can discuss how we may be able to help and support you.
There will be a special carers walk-in vaccination clinic held at 156, Mannamead Road, PL3 5QL from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, 19 November 2022. You can bring the person you care for along, there will be a space for them to sit and have hot drink and a piece of cake while they wait.
Caring for Carers are holding a free Carers Rights Day event on Friday 25 November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, PL12HJ from 11am - 2pm. They will be joined by a host of organisations across Plymouth who can offer support and services to carers. There will also be a COVID-19 vaccination stand for anyone attending to get their vaccinations or to talk to a health professional about any concerns or worries that they may have.
You can also book and manage your COVID-19 vaccination on the NHS website. There are various sites across Plymouth, so if there is nothing showing in your postcode area, just try again later.

Flu vaccinations are available via your doctor's surgery or your local pharmacy shown via the link below.
If you are a young carer, or young adult carer aged 16 to 25, there's a special vaccination clinic at Honicknowle Youth Centre, PL5 3PX on Tuesday 29 November from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Please contact the young carers team if you would like to attend the clinic for the vaccination or if you would like to talk to someone from the COVID-19 Vaccination Team. There will also be refreshments, activities and a chill out area available.
If you have difficulties getting to Honicknowle Youth Centre, the team can look at supporting you with transport.
