We have Active Living Centres in Mount Gould (Adult Day Care) and Plymstock (Dementia Day Care)  where older people can meet others with others for activities, good company and social engagement.

We have two Active Living Centres in Plymouth

  • William & Patricia Venton Centre in Mount Gould - Adult Day Care
  • William Venton Dementia Centre in Plymstock - for people with memory loss, dementia or cognitive impairment.

For people who require a little more support, a Day Care service is available at the William & Patricia Centre based in Mount Gould - this service is supported by fully trained and experienced care staff.

We also provide support for vulnerable older people who may have physical disabilities, sensory impairment and/or health conditions.

At our Active Living Centres you can enjoy our varied activities programmes, good company and a freshly cooked lunch. 

Our activities include:

  • Skittles and darts
  • Reminiscence groups
  • Music for the Memory ( Plymstock only) 
  • Sing-alongs
  • Bingo and quizzes
  • Arts and crafts
  • Reading groups
  • Tai chi & Gentle exercise

All venues have wheelchair access and disabled facilities.

You can pop into any of our centres to find out what is on offer and meet with the friendly staff and volunteers who can show you around and inform you of what's available at each centre.

All our activities are very reasonably priced.

Price: Please contact us for information about our costs. Additional charge for cooked meals are £4.70 1 course, £5.40 2 courses and £6.00 3 courses.

Anyone Over 50 is welcome to join in the social activities at Age UK Plymouth's centres.
