The Filo Project
The Filo Project predominantly supports older people living with early to moderate dementia by providing meaningful, sociable and regular days out in an intimate home setting.

The Filo Project supports individuals who are socially isolated, many of whom are experiencing symptoms associated with moderate dementia. Each day is provided by a host and is situated in the welcoming environment of the host's own home. Transport and lunch are provided. Each day and group differs, catering to the capacities, preferences, and needs of its members.
Within the gentle and supportive environment of the Filo Project, time and again, clients gain confidence, becoming revitalised in the process. At a stage of life where many older people find themselves often excluded, the Filo Project facilitates a regular day (or more) a week when people can gently come together in a 'day out with friends' atmosphere.
The Filo Project offers recurring and regular respite for carers.
To ensure we employ only the most suitable and like-minded people, all hosts are carefully selected, referenced, and subject to an enhanced DBS clearance. Hosts receive training in dementia, emergency first aid, moving and handling, and food hygiene.
