Smeaton Healthcare Befriending and Support Service
Our Befriending and Support Service is there to assist those in the community with a greater quality of life and inclusion. We understand that thousands of people in the UK alone are housebound, suffering from disabling illnesses or have lost the motivation to get out and enjoy life to its full potential.
Here at Smeaton Healthcare, we offer 1:1 support and a sit-in service.
Our vision is to provide person-centred support to ensure that individuals are able to continue living independently, with extra support.
We offer a first class service which allows members of the community to call in and request help on the day. Our staff are on hand to assist with the smallest or largest of tasks, from anywhere between 1 hour to 24-hour slots.
Tasks may include:
- Day trips
- Meal Prep

- 24/7 Sit-in Service

All service user will be required to have an assessment to ensure that their needs are fully met.
