Keeping our children safe

CAP UK (Child Assault Prevention Project) is a community project in Devon that brings parents/carers, school staff and children together to understand how to effectively reduce children's vulnerability to child abuse and build safer communities for children.

The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is the UK's leading charity working to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents. We have a great website which offers expert safety advice to parents - to help you understand the risks, and give your children a safe environment to grow up in.

The focus of our work is to find parents for children who need a new family of their own. Our skilled workers will support you through the adoption process.

Every council has to set up a Local Safeguarding Children Board which is responsible for improving the wellbeing of children in the area.
