January 2022
Hi everyone,
I am delighted to introduce this new area of the Plymouth Online Directory that I hope will help to develop and support health and wellbeing provision, across the city.
In my monthly HWIE Blog I will include highlights, best practice, current opportunities and what interesting activity is taking place in the Plymouth and further afield. So, here we go...
Welcome back and I hope that you all had a relaxing winter break. There are lots of challenges ahead of us, of course, however lots of exciting developments too. Firstly, the Healthy Child Quality Mark will look quite different from now on as it becomes an Assisted Self Review (ASR) process. May I thank Plaistow Hill Infant and Victoria Road Primary schools for their assistance in piloting this new HCQM format, which will be formally launched, later in the Spring One term.
Another area of exciting development taking place currently is a review of the Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent (WRAP) sessions that take place, streamlining content and updating guidance to reflect the current picture. The Plymouth Prevent Partnership will alert schools when this new workshop is ready for delivery, which expect to be later in the Spring One term.
This month's HWIE Briefing will be sent out on the 14th of January, due to the Winter break, but will then return to the first Friday of each month, as of February 2022.
The rescheduled HWIE Professional Community will take place on the 13th of February and we shall be joined by partners representing the 'Together for Childhood' programme, the 'NSPCC' and the 'Effervescent'. The session will focus on healthy relationships and please find more information on the HWIE Professional Community page, be following the link below.
