Professional Community - HWIE HUB

The Health and Wellbeing in Education Professional Community is one of a range of subject hubs delivered in partnership with the Plymouth Teachers and Schools Alliance.

These hubs deliver support for their members and schools to provide a wide selection of events, conferences, online support as well as being led by Key Practitioners.

The sessions are led by a specialist education adviser within the Local Authority and aim to support the planning and delivery of Health, Wellbeing and Citizenship education, including

  • PSHE
  • Statutory Relationships
  • Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
  • Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Engagement and Citizenship
  • Physical Health and Healthy Lifestyles
  • Risk Taking Behaviours
  • Safety

Sessions provide a space for staff to share best practice, undertake valuable CPD and gain access to a wealth of the City's partner organisations.

Sessions are led by Michael House, Health and Wellbeing in Education Officer at Plymouth City Council.
