Professional Community - HWIE HUB

The Health and Wellbeing in Education Professional Community is one of a range of subject hubs delivered in partnership with the Plymouth Teachers and Schools Alliance.
These hubs deliver support for their members and schools to provide a wide selection of events, conferences, online support as well as being led by Key Practitioners.
The sessions are led by a specialist education adviser within the Local Authority and aim to support the planning and delivery of Health, Wellbeing and Citizenship education, including
- PSHE
- Statutory Relationships
- Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
- Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health
- Engagement and Citizenship
- Physical Health and Healthy Lifestyles
- Risk Taking Behaviours
- Safety
Sessions provide a space for staff to share best practice, undertake valuable CPD and gain access to a wealth of the City's partner organisations.
Sessions are led by Michael House, Health and Wellbeing in Education Officer at Plymouth City Council.
