Roundabout Nursery

Roundabout Nursery was established in 1986 in the heart of the city providing Christian teachings and practices of love and care. We are a very happy nursery with friendly staff who genuinely care for each child that we look after.

We believe that a home from home environment is the best place for a young child to grow and learn. We create this calming environment through the intentional planning of our routines and surroundings and are conscious of our senses as we do.

Teaching children to play and then helping them to learn through play is a key part of what we do at Roundabout. We want our children to be confident learners. Children who will 'have a go', who are keen to explore and challenge themselves.

Morning sessions

The children are served a light breakfast during this session if you have opted for this. We will be showing what the children will be eating each day on the blackboard in the entrance hall. They will have the opportunity to play inside and out during the main part of this session, choosing their own activities or guided by adults. 

Afternoon sessions 

More planned activities and free, creative, and messy play, puppets, outside play, circle, and singing time. 

We offer grant sessions for 3 - 4 year olds both for 15 and 30 hours per week and we also accept "Me2" funded children. You can use your grants for childcare, however, not against meals, we suggest you choose the afternoon session if you don't want to pay anything.
