Plymouth U3A
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a self-help group of people who are no longer in full-time employment and this gives members time to exchange and share educational, creative and leisure activities during the daytime.
Plymouth U3A is a learning co-operative of mature people which enables members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. It is not a 'university' in the accepted sense, but is a meeting place for those who are no longer in full time employment who want to share their varying interests by way of subject groups.
U3A members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together; not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
