Laira Green Primary School

At Laira Green we are passionate about providing the best possible opportunities for all our children. We are committed to a trauma informed approach and work closely with parents and other agencies to ensure that our children get the best possible support. We have an inclusive ethos where every family is welcome. Whatever the barriers to learning the school works in a positive partnership with parents and carers to overcome these barriers.

We strive to create a learning environment which promotes respect, diversity and self awareness and equips all our pupils with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values they will need to succeed in their future lives.  

Our school SENDCO, Helen Buckingham and our Pastoral Support Advisor, Jan Frost, are always available, if you would like to chat about your concerns or have any questions, please don't hesitate to phone.  Both members of staff can be contacted via the school office. 

We are a Trauma and Mental Health Informed School, and  Mrs Buckingham is qualified as a Lead Practitioner in Trauma and Mental Health.

This enables us to support children who suffer with trauma or mental health problems and whose troubled behaviour often acts as a barrier to learning.
