Marlborough Primary Academy
Marlborough Primary Academy is fully committed to encouraging all our children to achieve their full potential in both learning and social development. We are a happy and thriving school in the heart of the Devonport area of Plymouth. We strive to inspire every child to achieve in a caring and safe environment.
Our mission is to nurture children with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and encourage them to lead aspirational fulfilling lives developing the skills to become independent, self- sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in a global community.
We stress the total development of each child: intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, moral and physical in a welcome, secure and stimulating learning environment.
All aspects of the school's organisation are designed to accommodate individual learning styles so that all may experience success.
At Marlborough we value:
- People - pupils, parents and staff
- Community and Stakeholders
- Diversity and Equality
- Ofsted rating: Requires improvement See the report for the school
As a member of the South West Plymouth Educational Trust, our schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
All schools are supported, to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.
At Marlborough Primary School, we embrace the fact that every child is different, and therefore, the educational needs of every child are different, this is certainly the case for children with Special Educational Needs.
