Safeguarding and welfare for childcare providers

The Early Years Safeguarding and Welfare Team has a responsibility for ensuring childcare providers meet statutory requirements and keep children safe.

The experienced team can offer advice and support about a wide range of safeguarding and welfare subjects, including the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, safeguarding and child protection.                                                                                                

The team also deliver training courses such as safeguarding and welfare termly briefings, safer recruitment and pre-registration briefings for those wishing to become childminders.
