In all cases, we strive to be as accessible as possible and to ensure that all our clients are well supported and that we are able to resolve any problems or concerns that they may have.
Fees for our services are normally included in the direct payment plan or alternatively can be paid for by the client according to their individual needs.
The use of a Direct Payment can facilitate the employment of a personal assistant or pay a care agency to provide the support that is required. Our role in managing our clients' requirements is unique to our clients' social care needs.
How we can help
- Payroll & Pension Services
We can help in all aspects of payroll, including the end of year returns, PAYE and producing payslips. We are able to act on your behalf as your agent with HMRC and The Pensions Regulator. - Managing a Bank Account
We can help you to open a bank account and make payments directly to your carers. - Appointeeship
Disability Focus can assist individuals to live independently by offering additional services that would help those who are not in receipt of Direct Payments. We offer an appointee service to claim and manage benefit entitlement. - Deputyship
Disability Focus can act as Deputy for individuals who lack the capacity to manage their own property and financial affairs by applying to the Court of Protection.
Once your direct payment is agreed, the relevant local authorities will provide all the necessary details of your care package to Disability Focus.
We will then contact you directly and send out a starter pack with all the forms and details necessary to establish you as an employer and get you registered with HMRC.
Where you do not intend to directly employ your carers and use a service provider instead, we simply need to know which one. You will then need to tell that service provider to send their invoices directly to us for payment.
