COVID-19 Plymouth PPE Order Request

As part of the Government's PPE Strategy which aims to facilitate the 'effective supply and distribution of PPE to those on the frontline responding to COVID-19', Plymouth City Council has agreed to work with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to offer FREE PPE for collection from Windsor House.

If you are a CQC Registered care provider you should be getting your free PPE via the government's PPE Portal  including FFP3 masks and surgical gowns. You can also use the form below  for FFP3 masks and non-surgical gowns only. FFP3 masks will only be issued for people who have been fit tested to that mask type. If you need assistance with fit testing please contact in the first instance.

Who is eligible for the free PPE offer?

  • Local authorities (including children and adult social care workers)
  • Personal assistants (commissioned by LAs, CCGs, and funded through personal health budgets)
  • Other adult social care services, that are not be supplied via the PPE Portal (e.g. shared lives and day care services)
  • Mental health community care
  • Domestic violence refuges
  • Rough sleeping services

You must:

  • Have a clinical need for the PPE
  • Use PPE in line with clinical guidance
  • Be ineligible for the DHSC PPE Portal

Before you start

You can request a month's supply of PPE for your front line service (i.e. where your staff are interacting with service users or the public).

We can offer one collection per provider each month until (and including March 2022).

Please request what your need for a whole month. The number of items we are able to dispatch will depend on the available stock, but we will endeavour to adjust the amounts of PPE that we receive from the DHSC month on month so that we can meet your full requirement when you next request PPE.

What happens after your order has been submitted

  • Your order request is sent securely to Plymouth City Council.
  • Your order will be processed and the PPE items collated.
  • You will receive an email that confirms the PPE you can collect and the date and time of the collection - we aim to send you this email within 3 working days.
  • If we have any questions, a member of the team will be in touch using the contact details you enter on the request form. 

PPE collection

  • All PPE items must be collected from Windsor House
  • Upon arrival, please make your way to the rear car park and proceed to the main goods bay which is on the left-hand side of the building as you approach. 
  • If there are other people collecting an order when you arrive please maintain social distancing while waiting for them to collect their PPE.
  • A member of staff will meet you, ask you to confirm your order and then show you where your PPE items are.
