Update from PCC Health & Care Coordinator

Recruitment support

  • Commencing 04/07/23 at Skills Launchpad Plymouth (based in Barclays Bank, city centre) we will be holding a Health & Care drop in 10-4pm, where we have space to host 3x providers each week for a slot to meet individuals looking for Health & Care opportunities in the city.
  • Our next City Wide Recruitment Event will be in Sept/Oct so if you would like to register interest in attending please do so, in April we had a footfall of over 400 local people.
  • Share any vacancies so we can upload to our opportunities board.
  • As you may know we now hold the Work in Care Campaign - which will act as another channel of recruitment, where we can support individuals into Health & Care roles.
  • Can you share any recent vacancies with to our healthandcareskills@plymouth.gov.uk email,  so we can share on our opportunities board which is shared with our Health & Care members, as well as Skills Launchpad Plymouth members.

Comms Campaign

  • With a Dom Care focus, but also including Care Homes, we are looking for case studies of your shining stars to be showcased as part of our comms campaign across the city. If you could nominate individuals within your teams who would be prepared to be interviews/photographed and be part of the city wide marketing campaign that would be great. Please send through ASAP.

School engagement

  • Thank you to those who have already been in touch - our school engagement will recommence later in the year after exams periods - we are looking for keen providers to come into schools and FE education to help us deliver our sessions to ensure Health & Care is a career choice for the young people in the city. If you would be interested please get in touch.

Comms/Marketing

  • We have a monthly mailer (Health & Care opportunities) and a quarterly mailer (volunteer opportunities) that goes out to our Health & Care case load, across socials and to schools/FE education, reaching many individuals. If you would like your organisation mentioned with your vacancies/opportunities/success stories then please send details across.
