Telephone number: 01752 243333

We offer a free drop in service where you can pop in and get advice, regarding yourself or a loved one.

In our Dementia Hub we also offer a memory cafe, young onset group and other groups that are inclusive to all. We also run a Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) group for anyone that has been diagnosed with an MCI or is worried about their memory and wants to put strategies in place to help improve their brain health.

Our Memory Matters Workshops provide post diagnostic support, advice and access to evidence based Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) and Livewell Sessions designed to slow the progress of dementia.

We currently run Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Groups in Plymouth, above Moments Cafe in our Dementia Hub and in surrounding areas of Cornwall.

Training

Memory Matters' courses are energetic, interactive and enjoyable and will increase staff's understanding of the key concepts of person-centred care.

The positive learning experience we provide will enthuse your staff and engage them in understanding the needs and experience of people living with dementia. Our courses inspire a deeper understanding of staff's influential and essential role in enriching the lives of people living with dementia; increasing dignity, value and creative care.

Brain exercises

Our brains start shrinking from the age of 20 years old. Whilst this can sound a little alarming, you may have noticed how some people have an amazing ability to remember brilliantly, despite an ageing brain.

We have a free Facebook community where we welcome anyone who wants to stay memory fit whilst having a giggle in a supportive environment. We also provide local talks funded by the Big Lottery in various towns in Cornwall.

For those that wish to invest some time and money into their memories, we have a comprehensive 6 week course called 'The Brain Fitness Formula'. This course guides you through the science that supports reducing your dementia risk factors. You will watch the workshops from your computer. We recommend completing one a week over a six week period. Laura teaches simple techniques to adopt each week and you are supported to implement some manageable changes. You complete it at at your own pace in the comfort of your own home.
