Based at our Mount Gould Local Care Centre (LCC), our Independence Centre makes it easy for people to access independence and mobility aids, supporting people to stay safe, well and at home.

We stock independence aids such as adapted cutlery sets, walking sticks and frames, alongside many other items that support independent living, including shoes and hosiery from Cosyfeet, the experts in producing shoes for people with swollen or painful feet. Mobility aids such as scooters and wheelchairs are also available, with the opportunity to test drive these on site with the support of one of our specialist team.
Julie and Nigel make up the friendly, professional team who run the centre. They have 20 years' experience in this sector which means that customers old and new benefit from their advice and knowledge. They have a unique understanding of the full range of mobility products, enabling them to identify the products that are best suited for an individual's needs. Nigel is also able to carry our maintenance and repair work if required.
This venture is a social enterprise and therefore any surplus raised from sales through the centre will be reinvested in community health and care services.

The Livewell Independence Centre is a mobility company based at Mount Gould Hospital in Plymouth, Devon. We work in partnership with the NHS and have a highly specialised sales team on board, with up to date knowledge on the latest products.
