Thorn Park care home was opened in 2010 and great care has been given to the refurbishment to ensure that the building retained the grandeur of a Victorian "Gentleman's Residence" of the Victorian era. Marble fireplaces take pride of place in our living and Dining rooms, whilst Picture and Dado rails are complimented by the beautiful and ornate ceilings with central roses as well as decorative plaster moldings. The property is tastefully decorated throughout which helps make Thorn Park feel like a comfortable and welcoming place to visit and to reside.
The rear South facing gardens are a delight being private, enclosed, and secure. Many of the upper rooms have far-reaching views of Cornwall, and the Home sits within a Conservation area of the city, close to local parks, shops, and conveniences. Transport likes are excellent with a bus stop right outside the door and ideally placed on one of the main bus routes into and out of the city centre.
At Thorn Park, we value every individual, who comes to live here. We welcome applications from people over 65 years from all walks of life and with many different needs, who enjoy the opportunity to share and celebrate the richness and diversity of their experiences. We can assure everyone who comes to live in our home that they will be treated with respect and dignity according to their individual needs and wishes.
