The difference between living in Sheltered Housing and Extra Care housing is the peace of mind that goes with having care staff available 24 hours a day. Extra Care housing is designed to support the needs of people who need a little bit of extra support to remain living independently.
To qualify for Extra Care housing you will need to have an assessment of your needs completed by Plymouth City Council adult social care and will need to complete a Devon Home Choice housing application form.
