This is achieved by interns working in three unpaid Supported Internships within Derriford Hospital Plymouth where they learn the skills that employers need through a combination of theory and practical experience. They do this on an honorary contract with the hospital whilst also being students of City College Plymouth.
The course is for an academic year and runs Monday to Friday from 9am until 4pm; excluding lunch breaks they attend 32.5 hours per week.
