The conviction that ‘all’ children are unique is embedded in our practice! Our main focus is observing and identifying children’s characteristics of how they learn. We do this using a highly effective Key Person Approach and through our partnership with parents; we identify parents as the first and main educators of their children. Our ethos is founded on these ideas and enables us to provide an environment where children feel; safe, happy and secure; empowering them to achieve their best outcomes, by reaching their full potential as unique individuals, while learning through their play.
Staff retention at the pre-school is advantageously high, supporting continuity of care for the children who attend. St Mary’s is led by highly qualified and experienced senior members of staff; The manager graduated her BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies in July 2011, and achieved her post graduate; Early Years Professional Status in March 2012. The Deputy Manager graduated her BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies, with First Class Honours, in October 2015.
