The Baby Garden at Weston Mill Cemetery has a new feature.
In partnership with bereavement charity Little Things & Co, the Council have jointly designed and commissioned a new Forget Me Not Memorial Wall.
The memorial features two recesses for tea lights, a black board for inscriptions and a bench for moments of quiet reflection.
Little Things & Co are a Plymouth-based charity who offer practical and emotional support to those who have suffered the loss of a baby.
About the Baby Garden
Our baby garden is a communal burial area for babies less than one-month-old, stillborn babies and non-viable fetuses. The garden provides families with a place to find peace and tranquillity for moments of quiet reflection.
Baby burial graves are dressed with artificial grass mats. The only items allowed on the grassed area are fresh cut flowers. Once the burial has taken place your baby can't be exhumed and moved to another location. The burial of adults or the scattering of their cremated remains isn't allowed in the baby garden.
