Active Living Centres - Age UK Plymouth

Age UK Plymouth have two Active Living Centres in the Plymouth; both offer a friendly, warm and supportive environment to engage in activities, socialise and meet new friends. 

At our Active Living Centre in Mount Gould you can book for a daily lunch. 

Our centre in Plymstock caters for people with memory loss, dementia and cognitive impairment.

Home cooked meals, snacks and drinks are available. Activities vary in each centre and include:

  • Health and well being advice
  • Dance and gentle exercise such as Tai Chi and Yoga
  • Reading groups
  • Social and creative activities
  • Skittles,Bingo, board games and quizzes
  • Music and singing
  • Music for the Memory 

All venues have wheelchair access and disabled facilities.

You can pop into any of our centres to find out what is on offer and meet with the friendly staff and volunteers who can show you around and inform you of what's available at each centre.

All our activities are very reasonably priced.

For people who require a little more support, a Day Care service is available at the William & Patricia Centre based in Mount Gould - this service is supported by fully trained and experienced care staff.

We also provide support for vulnerable older people who may have physical disabilities, sensory impairment and/or health conditions.


Our freshly cooked meals are served at lunchtime at The William & Patricia Venton Centre - Mount Gould. There is a good choice of wholesome food and a varied menu all available at very reasonable prices for 1, 2 or 3 courses.You can book during the morning but book early as spaces are limited.

Bring a friend or come along on your own, it won't be long before you will be meeting new friends.
