We can help to 'bridge the gap' between specialist learning disability services for women with moderate to profound learning disabilities, and mainstream services.

We work with women who may be deemed 'hard to reach' (unknown to or unable to access adult social care services or support providers). Women are often extremely isolated within their communities, unable to access support, rendering them far more likely to experience abuse for a long time.

Wiser a response to many of the women working with our advocacy service through Child Protection and care proceedings, who have reported they struggle to access mainstream support for domestic abuse.

We run a 12-week course in domestic abuse awareness, a women's support group as well as easy-read publications of domestic abuse legislation and women's rights.

Our vision is to create and deliver an inclusive, flexible and adaptive service for women to be able to understand the signs, risks and long-term effects of domestic abuse. More importantly, we wish for them to develop an intrinsic sense of their worth and value, and that their confidence and esteem will be nurtured through being a part of a supportive community of other women.
